Rainy Day Activities

As I’m sure you’re aware the weather in the UK can be unpredictable. Luckily in Shoreham we are blessed with our own little micro-climate generated by the South Downs, English Channel and the River Adur. However even this lets us down from time to time. Thankfully there is a wide variety of local attractions and activities to keep you occupied whatever the weather. Here is a selected list of some of our favourites:

Dome Cinema, Worthing
One of the UK’s oldest and most striking cinemas. Make sure you book screen one to experience the stunning domed period interior in all it’s splendour.

Dukes at Komedia
The younger sister to Brighton’s iconic (and one of the world’s oldest cinemas) Duke Of York.

Brighton Museum
Located in the Royal Pavilion garden, at the heart of the city’s cultural quarter. Its diverse collections bring together the arts and history to tell stories about the city and the world we live in.

Arundel Castle
Medieval castle in Arundel, West Sussex. It was established by Roger de Montgomery on Christmas Day 1067. Roger became the first to hold the earldom of Arundel by the graces of William the Conqueror.

British Airways i360
Glide up to 450ft on board British Airways i360. In a fully enclosed glass viewing pod, visitors can admire views across Brighton and the south coast.

Boulder Brighton
Indoor bouldering venue offering rope-free climbing walls, tuition, a shop for kit, plus a cafe.

Go Karting
State-of-the-art karting track with flyover and electronic timing.

Out Of Bounds
Action-packed activity centre in West Sussex for Bowling, Clip 'n Climb, Soft Play, Adventure Golf, Footgolf, delicious food and more.

Brighton Marina
A host of indoor family activities including bowling, cinemas, amusement arcades etc etc.

Failing any of those options get your waterproofs on or go for a swim or cycle and return for a lovely wam sauna!
